Crestron has released a solution to resolve boot-up issues that some customers have experienced with the Crestron Flex conferencing system.
Some systems have experienced a message during the boot-up process stating, "No Hard Drive Detected" or, in the case of a Self-Diagnostic test failure, "self-test did not complete." Crestron has identified and corrected the root cause and released new firmware to address the issue.
This issue is specific to Dell OptiPlex 7080 Micro UC-ENGINES currently being used with Crestron Flex systems. The problem was traced to a flash memory management error specific to the solid-state drives in select Dell OptiPlex 7080 Micro UC-ENGINES. The new firmware corrects the issue and may be pushed immediately through XiO cloud. The fix will soon be available through a Microsoft® Windows® update.
